That was taking place, last Wednesday? If I want to correct it is one eleven. That is three 1’s , right? So, the accident that has taken place and so many people lives lost. Among them, Nancy, who came here a number of times. And John is here tonight. John Gibson. And works with Philip, and being here. And we did a special service during the retreat in Ann Arbor. Tonight , we be doing some little, additional mantras only. Maybe we can do Ganden Lha Gyema, I am not sure how many people have the Ganden Lha Gyema with you tonight, but at least we can do close to a thousand Om Mani Padme Hung. And that is the, and the prayer.

We all try to do a spiritual practice. We all try to help ourselves and help others. It is sort of our job and our work is try to help ourself and try to help others. And when we are within our lifetime , when we are here, this is the , what we can help ourselves and when we are not in life, and then what we can really help is number one, praying, number two, dedication. Dedicating the positive karma that we have created. Actually total of our positive karma should dedicate. Plus specially whatever you created. So, we dedicate that positive karma to help the individual whosoever we are focusing. So, we dedicate that. (0.03:04.4). Another words is by this positive karmas that I have, by the power of these positive karmas and by the power of generating these positive karmas , I would like to be able to fulfil the wishes of the individual, in this case, Nancy and the (a) to purify all negative karmas if she is carrying (b) to build up all the positive karmas that materialize , whatever she had the positive karma, to be able to be helpful at this moment and our contribution of our positive karmas that we generated. And that’s what we do. And then pray. On top of that we pray. Pray the enlightened power, this may be able to materialize and she may have a good, I mean I am talking about the Buddhist background. Good rebirth. Or, if you don’t think of rebirth, have a very wonderful, somehow I can’t say wonderful future life. I got to say it, I can’t help it , I am sorry. You know a wonderful future life which will be free of all sufferings. So, that’s one way of looking and dedicating and praying. Another one is also , well, by doing that , you know, she went through with this accident. And she went through and that may be able to substitute so many people who have a similar type of karma too, has to go through with that impurity. (0.05:31.1). This may be able to substitute and clear for everybody to be help. So these are sort of basically two ways of doing it and we dedicate. Dedication is more powerful than simply praying according to Buddha. Because dedication means we do carry certain sort of positive work that we have, positive karmic points. It is almost putting down a cash , saying this is sort of down payment here and so with these and then that’s how it works. So it sort of considered more powerful and important, dedication than prayer. I am not looking down on prayer, don’t misunderstand me. Praying is absolutely important and also the dedication. And then we normally do for the benefit for all beings. So, the same thing. That is the second part and we will do.

And then whatever we are talking here, whatever the level we are talking, so we do that. That is the third part, so, there are three things happening. So the first we will begin with all our usual prayers and Om Mani Padme Hung. A thousand times.

About the purifications. Or any other thing before that, whatever we said.

Audience : When you dedicate.

Rimpoche : What did you say?

Audience : Maybe silly question.

Rimpoche : Silly question. Silly questions are good questions. When you think it is silly, sometimes it might not be silly. T can be very important.

Audience : when you dedicate your positive karma, for the sake of other beings, is there merit still remaining in that positive karma or is it gone?

Rimpoche : I think it is a very good question. Did you hear the question, everybody? She said when you dedicate the merit of your positive karma to somebody else, do I lose. That’s the actually. She didn’t say do I lose. She said is there something left or still or what happens, right? Very good question, really. It is really interesting question. Yes. You give your positive karma away but again by giving your positive karma you also generate more karma , more positive karma. At the end , you don’t lose. That is the bottom line. Bottom line, if you think you lose whatever I have, my positive karma , I give them away and then I left with nothing. By the thought of generosity thought itself and the dedication itself will build a positive karma too. And when you created , like additional karma like whatever we have been saying, to hold additional prayers and all the prayers. Additional refuge, additional this thing. And specifically designed for a specific person for very special reason , whatever it may be. So you also created extra positive karma and that positive karma actually belongs to that person for whom you are creating. It does not belongs to us, it belongs to them. It belongs to them. Yet you also get positive karma because you are doing it. (0.12:04.3) So it is almost like a win win situation rather than a loss loss thing. So that’s what it is. Yes.

Audience : when you say your prayers Chenrezig or Tara.

Rimpoche : When you use Om Mani Padme Hung, it is the Chenrezig mantra and is the mantra of love, compassion. It is sort of famous Tibetan Buddhist mantra, whatever. So, it is really focus on Chenrezig. Avaloskitesvara rather than Tara.

Audience : But the prayer that you have with the person

Rimpoche : We did right from the beginning to the end. Everything and additional thing, whatever. We did Chenrezig, one thousand mantra by each person here. So that’s a hundred, you really have a hundred thousand here. That’s quite a good contribution , really, fpr a positive karma. And then, of course, the thoughts and ideas, and all of those will help, good thoughts. Any other questions, anybody?

Seems there is no questions, so, ya. Go ahead.

Audience : During a thousand, dealing of something and negating of something, I seem to have , it comes in my practice now , of the ability for the perception of actually exchanging and I wonder if you could speak about the perceptions may be. And may be just the comfort but I can’t simply get away from the selfishness from doing something for myself. And that sort of question that I had in the service of giving away of karmic.

Rimpoche : Your question is important. And I see something slightly different . Maybe you are saying the same thing. But I see something slightly different than what you are saying. I see the difference is you give, I created some positive merit or karma. And how can I give it away to somebody else. If I can how then, how it will work? That I am responsible for my own action. And my karma is my karma , it works with me. It doesn’t work with anybody else. So what happens to that principle? I can see, one, from that angle. Your question. Another, is , well, I created positive karma for me and how can I give it away. What is it for me? Is that what I am hearing?

Audience : Yes. It is broadly, yes. My understanding of karma is like , something I am not sure.

Rimpoche : Ya, I mean this is usual American question, what’s in that for me.

Audience : Except it is culturally thing that I have been raised in my life.

Rimpoche : Ya, what’s in that for me. Okay, I have an answer for you, both, fortunately. The question was, may be I raised myself. Karma is definitely . It is definite. My karma is my karma. Your karma is your karma . I am responsible for my own deeds and you are responsible for your own deeds. Absolutely true. But I can help you. You can help me. Is that somebody’s pager? Doesn’t matter, okay. Don’t worry about it. So, I can help you and you can help me. And there is always, I can do something for you and you can do something for me, though your karma is yours and my karma is mine and I am responsible, all these. So, definitely I can help you. You can help me. That’s there within that. For sure.

Now the second question , what’s in that for me? Lot’s in there for you. A lot. Because when I did this , though I am doing for somebody else, but by engaging myself in that action, I am creating a positive karma. It is opportunity for me to build positive karma. Additional positive karma for me. It is an opportunity for me to help myself too. So, I am acting, I am functioning, I did. So I created my karma and I dedicate that karma, at the same time by doing it, I build karma too. (0.18:46.2) Positive karma too. That’s a lot in for me in there too. I am totally looking from the karmic angle. It might not make sense even if you look from the other side, karmic angle. If you say, I give my karma, I dedicate this , people ask what is there , we don’t see it, anything, from the scientific point of view , all these. But whatever we are talking here, whatever we are doing, whatever we are talking here, that is what happening is that. So there is a lot in there for me. I don’t , not only I don’t lose, I gain a lot in that.

Audience : If I do it, I gain. Is the same but…

Rimpoche : You did not do it for gain. You do it for help. So, it is quite simple. Is it too hot for me, or is it the whole thing. Is it some heat going in on or what. (0.19:55.2). Did you turn on the air con or the heat?

Anyway, now, let me begin to talk. What line is it? The dedication line. Just count the number. What number is it? What happened? Go the heat? I see. That’s the heat. That’s what happened. No wonder. Ha, ha, ha. And there are people who are wearing suites. Difficult. It already started effecting. Thank you. So out of the seven limbs and we are at the fourth line. The first is the bow down business. And I talked the other day. Second is presentation. Offering, I talked the other day. And third is purify. Purification and I am expecting some questions for the purification and I am a little surprised there is no questions. Nobody raised questions for purification. So. Are you sure there are no questions on purification? If you don’t , I have a question to you. So, I will ask. How can you purify something that you did wrong? Can you purify something that you did wrong? Anybody?

Audience : Yes.

Rimpoche : Okay, give me a reason why.

Audience : It’s the karmic, the action changes.

Rimpoche: Karmic impermanent. Action changes. That true? How do you know karma is impermanent?

Audience : You told us. Buddha says.

Rimpoche : You told me? Come on. That’s not a good reason. Don’t say that. Because I said so, it is right. That is totally wrong. Even Buddha said, don’t buy because I said so. So, if you want to buy gold. Cut the gold, burn the gold. Drop the gold. If you are convinced that is gold, buy. You know that was 2500 years ago. Never buy because I said so. So, please don’t say because you said so, it should be right. That’s totally wrong reason. Totally wrong. But give me one reason , one reason why karma is impermanent. Are you permanent or impermanent. You, yourself. Impermanent. Why?

Audience : I will die.

Rimpoche : Because you going to die. What about yours, today it’s you.

Audience : I am changing.

Rimpoche : Changing. Ya, that’s right. You are changing, even a minute and even every minute, every second, we are changing. If you don’t believe that, you look yourself . You are no longer the kid, the beautiful, cute, nice, sweet, ten years old , nine years baby is no longer there. And that shows we are changing. And when you are changing and that shows we are not permanent. We are changing. So, I am impermanent. So everything I am dealing, whatever ,it is impermanent. When it is impermanent, it is changeable. So, therefore even my karma is changeable. So, even if I did something wrong I can change it. I don’t know you correct the past tense or not. You can change it. Okay, so yes. (0.24:46.5)

Audience : I always thought once a karma from an action takes effect , can you still can purify? Or is it too late.

Rimpoche : It is too late. Any particular karma when it started taking action , then you cannot neutralize the karma because it already started functioning. So it is only the time you can try to push the time a little faster. You cannot change. The reason why. That’s why karma is definite. Four characteristics of the karma. Definite. Fast growing. One never meets with the karma which one did not created. Once you create, no matter how long, whatever it may take , it will be dealt with it.

Audience : So, continuing in this line of questioning, what happens in the moment where karma is almost instantaneous to negative action. There isn’t, I mean you don’t always have the time lapse where you can think about it , regret and purify. Do you?

Rimpoche : There might not be instantaneous karma. Might not be. Might not be because karma is cause. There is always the condition and it always takes time between the karma and the conditions to materialize. It takes time.

It is now getting cooler. Huh, go ahead.

Audience: Karma is the cause and it gives rise to that. In a way it is almost a mechanistic view of the world. It is action and reactions. But there is also, is there in the world also free will. Can you easily generate a positive action or any action , not because of previous cause and conditions. It just arise freshly through your intentions or ?

Rimpoche : There is definitely free will. For sure because of the free will you can purify negative karma. Because of the free will you can do , you don’t want to purify negative karma. You can do all these because of the free will. For sure. Sorry, I am cutting it a little bit short. Yes.

Audience : Negative karma helps you to continue doing negative actions.

Rimpoche : Yes.

Audience : Then how can you break that?

Rimpoche : How you break that by bringing positive, by recognizing you are doing wrong. By recognizing negative actions, you are creating. By you not denying you are creating a negative action. If you keep on denying, denying , denying then you get into problems. All the time. So by recognizing, disliking , then stops. (0.28:27.2) It is not automatic. We have the control. Then it started, taking over from you. Until then we have the control. Once it started taking over from you, then you don’t. Dimitre.

Audience : I have a question about purifying in terms of something concrete, for example, let’s say I kick the dog yesterday. I recognize I kick the dog, I regret it, I resolve not kick the dog for a day. And then I randomly, by thinking, patience , let’s say, the opposite of kick the dog. That is very simple and clear. But if I look back at my day , yesterday, I didn’t kick the dog, instead I was driven by self cherishing or egotism or ignorance. And then I said, well, I regret that I recognize and I regret in very ignorant. I resolve try to have more wisdom and then the remedy I cant really honestly cultivate because I can’t just say therefore I cultivate wisdom in my heart. Because I don’t have it. So it is a little more, my question is you do it on conceptual, if you don’t. I haven’t done anything concrete that is meaningful.

Rimpoche : That’s anything, You can meditate on love and compassion. You can say Om Mani Padme Hung. You can help somebody. You can be generous. You can protect some morality for awhile. A day or something. If not an hour. Have some good morality , for an hour at least. Or something like that. Or have patience for a while. Enthusiasm . Or meditate. Or even general wisdom. Or not. Try to generate. Yes, Alison.

Audience : When you are purifying , when you apply the four R’s to

Rimpoche : Four R’s, yes.

Audience : also, are you purifying yourself. If you are doing in the context of your prayers, invocating the Supreme Field. Are you getting help with purifying?

Rimpoche : Yes. You purify by yourself. And you are working with your own karma. This is really a thing call working with your own karma. I don’t believe, I don’t buy that you have to suffer something and then say , I am working with my karma. A lot of people think that way. I really don’t think so. You can purify. The reason why you can purify while we purify is because we don’t want to suffer. That’s why cut the cause of suffering that’s why we purify. And I don’t believe we have to suffer in order to purify that. Really. And if you going to suffer then why you have to purify. You suffering anyway, so. Maybe the suffering a little bit bigger if you don’t purify, at the most. So what? To me, the reasons why purifying is , if it is a very heavy negative karma , to make it light. If it is a light karma , negative karma , to eradicate that. And actually the purpose of the purification is to be free yourself. That is the total reason. So I don’t really believe you have to suffer in that. Yes, lady over here. (0.32:11.6)

Audience : How do you know purification

Rimpoche : Well, you don’t. You don’t. You don’t really know. But at the same time, if you work hard, and try to do all the time, it is almost like a daily chore. As like daily chore. Before you go to bed , you go and brush your teeth. Something like that, before you fall asleep, you purify all the negativities that you have created during that day. Generally in our life and lives, because I am the background of reincarnation, I like to maintain my job so lives. So, lives. And particularly day. If you keep on purifying so it adds up. Like the drop of water in the bucket , fills up bucket one day. In that way we can do. And that’s a better way of doing than that sometimes you do something fantastic, like 24 hours, day or something, and suddenly you forget and there is nothing for days. And particularly never pays attention in our daily life. And that is not right. So, it is recommended to do very often and make sure it has effect in our daily life. The reasons why we purify because we created negative karma. How do we create negative karma? Because we hurt somebody. By hurting somebody is negativity. Whatever may be. So, we are hurting somebody and that is harming the other person. So, we are creating negative karma. If you keep that in our daily life . Say hey, I shouldn’t hurt anybody. Anybody hurt , anybody’s feeling or physically, whatever it may be. We shouldn’t hurt. If you keep on doing that , I think that’s how we keep on purifying. Specifically there are dreams like when you dream you are taking a shower , if you are doing purification work, taking a shower or bath or wearing new clothes. There is all sorts of prescribed dreams about that. That is a different story altogether. But generally, people in our life, we are so busy. Does not even have time for a coffee. We have to grab the coffee in hand and run out, right? So in that for us ,we have like a daily chore if you do it every night , something like that. A little bit, takes two, three minutes. And it’s worth, doesn’t even have to seat with cross legged try to do it and meditate and say I am mediating, I am purifying. When you are doing, when you are watching your tooth dry . You are using your tooth brush and you can even think that. Or, if you seat on the throne , you can use that time also, whatever. (0.35:39.9) Sort of adapted in life, easy way. That is much easier than try to cut a specific time , hey, it’s my purification time. So, well, it is 12.30 now , I don’t have time, I didn’t do it, but I must purify. Then it becomes very difficult. Sort of adapted in casual in daily life. Daily chore. That’s basically kindness and compassion also. You can’t go on and say, hey, I have to be kind. It’s time for me to meditate on love and compassion. It doesn’t do any good. It has to be automatically be part of your life. You have to care for yourself and other person. The caring, loving , everything has to be attached to your daily life. And functioning effortlessly. Whatever you are doing and always the caring and concern and loving is there. That is the best way to do. Rather than cut a time , and say it’s my compassion meditation time. And that’s good, and it is nice and you seat in there, very compassionate , wonderful, good looking , beautiful, holy looking. Yet you get up and forget completely and started raising you fingers. Then, it is useless. Okay. I don’t want to take so much time now.

The subject is rejoice.

Gelek Rimpoche asking me to say something with the , you know, his teachings. I think he was teaching now. That is, sometimes translated as seven branch , praise or something like that. Translation But there’s second practice, it’s praise. The translation , I think is incorrect. But anyway, probably , Rimpoche asking explaining, you know, this past thing. It is rejoice I wanted to say. And I wanted to explain rejoice and then I wanted to mix up a little bit about other questions. About karma and also about, what you call, dedication and all the things you are talking about. Well, a lot of things and Buddhism that whether you can say it’s positive, negative to deal with your mind, action. It’s connected to our attitude. Or our motivation. First , motivation is wrong. And then what you going to do? It doesn’t become , according to Buddhism a ? Even if it looks as , if you want to, normally, you have like to , what you call, generosity. It consider all the richness that you are talking about. But in Buddhism if you are , motivation is kind of certain, egoistic reason or certain kind of negative , even if you are , what you call, materialistic. Hiring somebody which is , this is not? Because motivation is wrong. (0.40:49.5) Even if you say something not so nice to somebody but your motivation is something nice. It doesn’t become negative as we normally looks like negative. So, therefore, Buddhism there is very much have to do with your mental attitude on your, what you call, motivation. It directing through whatever you call cause of negative karmas. And actually Buddhism there is karmic, there are two things. In Abidharma they said there is two, one which is karmic connect to our mental , not mental thinking but more our psychological, you know. Which act psychological, it is one karma. And the other karma is act, what you call, physically. That’s also karma. So, now, mentally karma , which I said, that has to do with the motivation. And physical and ? karma is from the motivation, you act. You said something. You said that is the direction where it goes to one act negative. So, now the choice is also to do with our , kind of mental act. Some kind of motivation . That is the , somebody who has done some kind of positive actions. First is karma and first is action is the same. Karma means action. Nd karma is many levels. Karma has very high, kind of very subtle karma and also karma, what we are talking about now. Karma has many different levels. But anyway, rejoice. Rejoice is somebody doing some kind of positive . Then, we are kind of rejoicing together. We feel very good. We feel kind of supporting. Not kind of jealousy or kind of, very often we can have jealousy. If somebody is doing something good, somebody success, whatever. Humans, we can have jealousy. And special culture which is very much competition. I can call this modern culture is very competition culture. So we can get, very easily to do , what we call, rejoice than to feel jealousy. So, if we could, if somebody doing something well, and we kind of , join together, we feel happy for him. So that makes your own karmic your own, kind of mental action. Becomes much more, kind of positive. If you are doing the wrong way , If somebody doing good and you feel jealous, then you are creating, kind of negative karmic on yourself. (0:44.47.3) Therefore, so, rejoicing some specific joy or something like that. So, that’s one important part of the of dealing with our mental. Therefore in this there is rejoice. In this, of course there is rejoice , bodhisattva’s actions and on these actions there is rejoice. You can see it in the text. So anyway rejoice is if you do somebody who is doing something good, you should have rejoice and then you feel good. Otherwise you feel bad, you know. Somebody successful for example , some like to drink well, whatever it makes you negative. Then I saw also the dedication. Dedication also similar. Dedication is some kind of prayer. In Tibetan it is. Some kind of dedication. We talk about the difference between one moment, the dedication prayer. But both certain prayers but dedication you have something. Because of that I wish something. That is dedication. If you don’t have any , you can, I wish something good, you know. And that’s just a prayer. But you should have something, say , I have done this and that. That kind of , sort of what I am doing. Because of that, then somebody something good. Then you have both, it is a prayer and it is dedication. So, any questions, somebody was saying that if you take one’s own positive karma to dedicate to somebody. It is kind of losing your things. This doesn’t lose. I, kind of very strong wish for something. Something, like wish for all sentient beings will have happiness and or that. You can also dedicate to the country and dedicate to your neighbour or whatever you can make dedication. And this prayer or you hoping, wishing . Wishing something . Then you can say because of that , because of that wish, you have done something , which you feel something good. Something great. And from that, then you are wishing . So therefore this wish becomes more stronger. And logically. And also karmic level because of you made, kind of feeling of what you have done. That is also sharing. Which not just your giving by yourself. You wish something. So, actually, I think karmic , generally karmic system where it works. We can also , Rimpoche was asking this, you can share. Sharing many things. You can share with one’s own energy level. Karmic is energy level. And energy level, you can share. You can use energy to kind of connect with somebody. You can use many ways. Therefore you can share with your , benefits somebody. Also in ancient times, India, there is a very strong kind of belief , kind of . Anyway it is some kind of worldly people . They can have certain powers that something , they believing something choose. From this choose they wishing something. Then it is happening. And that is something, I think they have very strong truth they believing that truth, by that way, saying verbally. Certain kind of creating some energy. That way you can little bit kind of , create something, connection which ? something like that. So, anyway, dedication is , cause this one of the last of the seven branches. That is also very important all the Buddhists, not all, but anyway many of the rituals we can have these seven , the last is the dedication. And then I sort, what you call, you said purification. Purification is very very strict meditation. Actually it means that the . You see what you have done , mentally action. (0.50:52.7) Mentally action, any kind of action you make , you treat it, some kind of energy pattern. And that energy pattern can be produced if you just leave it like that. But especially if you are agreeing with that. You agree. You have done something and you agree that’s alright and that you are agreeing with that. Then you still continue and you can manage more and more. You can pile up, you see. So that way you can make way , kind of negative karma and you can also increase, not only Buddhist way of thinking, next life but even in terms of this life. You feel these negative things influence you. But your negatives can’t influence other people. That way you feel ? yourself. So, therefore you should not agree with what you have done. So that way, one thing you can make, you don’t continue. You wont do it because you can see, it make something bad for yourself. Bad for the people. And other parties also you can make some more , kind of, imprint level. When you make karmic systems, you can always make some kind of more deeper level energy patterns. That energy patterns also you can also you can make less active, if you are not agreeing with what you have done. You that energy won’t be kind of polluting very strongly. But also in Buddhism , to say that , may times they call the confession. And confess, either , not the same feeling as Christian where one confess. And Buddhist way of talking about confess. And Buddhist way of confess, it is like what I said. You don’t agree and you wanted to make kind of deeper than what you have made , patterns. You need to be changed. This pattern that you changed . There you use other sense. You have to use. It is not enough you regret. And also in Tibetan tradition there is , best kind of to , kind of , what you call, work with your deeper pattern of negativity. That’s to deal with emptiness. And the reason why they say that is , you have to work with your basic, kind of your own , kind of experiencing of yourself. You need to get into yourself realm. How do you deal with yourself. If you are not changing yourself , you are always the same person as what you are. Then you will continue, you do the same thing. And that way, you need to change yourself . Change, not at the physical level, but your energy and mental level, you need to change. And if you change , that , you feel yourself more pleasant, yourself. You feel, yourself have the confidence. And then you will change. You see, also your actions, what you do. And same time, also, kind of reduce these patterns what you have already done. The patterns will change. So in that way, so call negative actions will be changed. So that way we are talking about , this, what you call confession. Confession of, what you call, you used another word, I forgot. Anyway this is the , that one. So, I don’t think I will spend more time to say more things. (0.55:28.8)

Thank you. I add a little bit on that , the rejoice. In addition to that. Basically, the purpose of the rejoice is , something, very easy way to collect merit, positive karma. Like Tsongkapa said. So, without very , putting too much efforts. Easy way of accumulating a positive karma, is rejoicing. As Rimpoche has been saying that , what we, our normal habitual patterns do. Our habitual patterns will say when you see somebody else doing something good , you will never use to it, something very good. So, you are not very happy with that. So you look at the person , saying, ya, she is doing good , but she has some reasons or some excuse . It is very easy for us to say, ya , the person is doing good but. The but comes very often. So the but is not asset for us. It is a debit. That’s not asset. That’s not a plus. It is minus. So, the jealousy comes up very often with us. And so therefore, again, rejoicing is very difficult. It looks easy and if you really act, it is easy. Easiest way to accumulate merit. That’s why it is in the seven limbs. Like Shantideva had said , the Buddhas have taught for eons and came out with seven solutions for people to create easy positive karma . So they have the seven limbs or seven branches, whatever you call it. (0.58:08.2) Those seven tents. So the rejoice happens to be one of them. Actually according to the traditional teachings, if you look at it. If you rejoice, the enlightened beings such as if you rejoice great work done by Buddha, we get half of his benefit. And if you rejoice Mother Theresa , we get half of it, their benefit. And if you rejoice Dalai Lama, you get half of the benefit. Let these people work, we enjoy. Don’t get jealous. Cut out the but. Cut out the but, okay? And so that is one of the important way to go in our daily life. I don’t want to take so much time and it’s already, you got a question, go ahead. I already gave you time to questions before .

Audience : The way you talked rejoicing in the summer retreat was true enough rejoice.

Rimpoche : When you talked detail there is a lot of detail way, you know. Today we are doing a very short one, so…

Audience : Doesn’t matter , you said it was kind of blessings, by thinking of all the good things.

Rimpoche : Ya.

Audience : Basically my question is where does , does that fit in to rejoicing at the level of the Lamrim, ordinary beings or beings of the lower realm.

Rimpoche : Everything

Audience : Does

Rimpoche : You don’t have to limit to anywhere. You rejoice, enlightened beings , rejoice yourself. Your own good work that you have done before. It is very inspiring. Actually it is good way of inspiring. Remember the great thing that you did last year. Really. Or year before. I am sure you have done something good , sometimes. So that’s how it goes, okay? Good. Okay, you drove all the way from Pennsylvania, so I give you time for question.

Audience : Sometimes it is important to see that somebody rejoicing in that. Talking about..

Rimpoche : I am sorry

Audience : Sometimes I find difficult to see things and people around rejoicing.

Rimpoche : Mmmm. It is true, especially if you are upset with that person. It is very hard to rejoice. It is true, but the question really rises, do I want benefit or do I want disadvantage. Am I forsaking a benefit or am I seeking for disadvantage. So the answer you have to answer yourself. And if you find , you are for benefit, you do something that benefits you. And if you are for disadvantage , do whatever you want to do. Get upset. That’s the bottom line. I am sorry I am so rather abrupt here. But , that’s the bottom line. It is true, sometimes people here irritates you. It is true, really true. But you must seat back and take a long breath and think about it. You said today. Seat back and take a long breath. Okay, so , if there is no another question. Do you have anything to announce? Announcement or anything? Only the White Tara, Monday? Alright. (1.03: 56.8).
