Good morning everybody. Actually he has put this on and I started pressing again. It is on. Anyway. I hoped we all enjoyed yesterday and the retreat. And today I like to remind you to generate a pure motivation. That is important. Then we proceed. I think it is the ninth Tara. The white in colour, youthful, protecting from all fears. This particularly, protection from fear. Protection from fear. Youthful. Okay. And then the, everything usual. Seven limbs, so on and so forth. And then goes the praise. ( Rimpoche spoke in Tibetan). So that is the ninth one here. Homage to she exclusively adopt by the hand mudra, three jewels at her heart, this one. So to whom you doing prostration? Doing prostration to the person who is holding the utpala flower by the left hand. Particularly you are referring to this hand gesture because that is the protection gesture. And the next verse. ( Rimpoche spoke in Tibetan). I think the verse here, it says hard ? will fill all directions. That is at the right hand she particularly have a giving or inviting mudra but especially there is a wheel, there is a chakra wheel at the middle of the palm. Not a standing chakra. It is sort of chakra down. And all of those are normally, all these protections things are normally goes, stands in between the screen and the flesh, if you are wondering where it is. It is not something dependent on air? nor it is some three dimension thing, put it, holding it but the picture of the chakra is in the right hand. And light radiates from that particular chakra, sort of tremendous amount of light goes and the light sort of criss cross everywhere and that light actually not only pacify but also those who are peacefully unable to control or peacefully unable to settle and then they will also this light sometimes may become a little threatening. Okay. That is the ninth Tara.(1.43:04)
The tenth Tara will be now. The tenth Tara will be again, now this one is completely overpowering. Not only overpowering, subdue all the evils and the anti spiritual development. This one is red in colour. As I told you yesterday the colour red represents the again, attachment. Red is attachment , the colour but not necessarily the enlightened beings. They don’t have attachment but they do have very pure love. How they subdue, they do not do by threatening or by bombs. They subdue by showing affection. As a matter of fact, it is much more powerful than that of a barrel of guns. So, that’s really true if you wanted to subdue anyone. The barrel of guns will not subdue. It may serve you temporary within a few years, there will be more harm, what you call it insurgence. Continuously functioning. That is the consequences of unjustified, unnecessary losing of lives. Anyway, but with the love, care , affection like the earlier great American leaders had done. This is a really great way to do and here Tara shows the same thing. Red in colour and the mudra, hand implements, hand gesture of giving. However that wase, what she is carrying here is the vase which has the power to be able to subdue all evil forces and anti religions. I don’t know whether the spiritual word is right or wrong. I am not even sure. Anti religions. Religion in the sense not worshipping religions. Religions in the sense you are helping yourselves to overcome your negative emotions and developing positive and positivities, love, compassion, wisdom and leading to a total knowledge. Me, personally, this guy is particularly coming from Tibetan Buddhism. Maybe because of that. I do believe, everyone will become fully enlightened one time or another. No matter whatever your tradition you are following. It is not only one tradition can give enlightenment and other traditions doesn’t gives enlightenment. They do. Information they do may not be giving in certain tradition. That is different. Other than that, a part, whatever is beginning, whichever is short, is leading towards the positive part. And that’s what, how I feel. I don’t want to know whether it is anti religion or anti spiritual, whatever. Anyway, whoever obstructs the individual proceeding forward to the development of total enlightenment and that’s is the evil forces need to be subdue. The praise for this. This is what? Ninth? Tenth. ( Rimpoche spoke in Tibetan). So I prostrate to you. If I don’t read English, I hoped you don’t mind it. I am making a fool of myself. I don’t mind making a fool of myself as you have seen it. For only your entertainment. I prostrate to who? And that one, who fulfil the wishes of those who are looking at hoping for help from you and you who makes us happy. You also overpowers and subdues those who are against us. The question is us. That’s what I have been talking whether it is anti religion, anti spiritualism , anti whatever. Oh, it is interesting. We have to use it, we have to use the language, anti dark forces and the light forces. So anyway that’s the reason the movie. What’s that called? Star wars. Thank you. So, this one, particularly jewel ornament radiating multi coloured light, and also your laugh with the mantra and the sound of Tutara, which completely overpowers and controls the devil if it is at all there. The devil is also talked in all old and every ancient religions it talks about. Even this one does, this one has four of them, remember? Yesterday somebody asked and we counted it. Finally we been able to count by putting all our heads together. So the devil. The devil is referring to. Out of four? I don’t know, I draw blank on my head. Actually Hindu Buddhists mythological stories will tell you there is somebody called Garupudu? , the king of all devils. So sometimes myths come in picture too. (1.34:04) Doesn’t matter. I think we just explained that. This one has special power to subduing everything as well as it sort of brings in the next one which also ask and utilise the service of the ten directional protectors. That will be the eleventh one.
Oh, no. Eleventh one is different and this one by utilising the ten directional, ( Rimpoche spoke in Tibetan). No, no, I am sorry. Looking at the wrong one. ( Rimpoche spoke in Tibetan). Sorry, these verses goes up and down. ( Rimpoche spoke in Tibetan). This is the subduing everything. Somebody wanted these mantras, so, Mr Bald has already made these mantras available. But I don’t think it is sort of, you can look at it, and I am not sure you can really utilise the mantras especially those who are first time here. Some of them are interested for example OM TARE TUTARE SARWA MARAYA HUM PHAT. Slightly wrathful mantra. Maybe not wise for everybody to use it. If you have done Tara retreat, not teaching retreat like this, but mantra retreat where you have been saying, we have number of people who have done a million mantras, a number of them. 15, 20 of them have done million. And there is 30 people on the way getting there. If they have done those retreats they can. I don’t think there is any difficulty. Otherwise if you are new ones, these are a little wrathful, so I recommend not to use it. Although you did not come for the mantra. You came for the mantra OM TARE TUTARE TURE SOHA. Same, wonderful, fulfils everything. So, be happy with this. The 21 mantras are sometimes, particularly this one , SARWA MARAYA HUM PHAT, which is quire wrathful, okay? So, I don’t want translate. (1.30:12)
Now the next one is. This one is a interesting one. Who, what you call it? Who helps us to take from. This is eleventh, right? The colour of the body of the Tara is golden orange. One face, two hands and she is holding a particularly vase and that has the capacity to actually clear the difficulty of lack of necessities. In other words if you are poor, the suffering of the poorness, it will be cleared by herself. Therefore her vase is something that is giving the needed, whatever needs of a. Today you can translate everything in green. Whatever is needed. Everybody wants green. Traditionally those days, 2600 years ago, green is not so much purpose so what you really need is the need of living and the need of food, shelter, clothes and extra necessities and for the family circle and so forth. Today you translate that in green so therefore this particular vase will throw you lots of green down in the light form. So, even the mantras goes on DZAMBAYIM SOHA, sort of Dzambala is the main manager, keeper of sky treasures so there must be internal connections between them.(1.27:26) So, probably what’s ( Rimpoche spoke in Tibetan) . To whom are you prostrating? I am prostrating that one who utilizes the services all protectors of ten directions, their retinues and all of them making them work for you, one who has tremendous power, slightly wrathful face , at the heart of you, letter HUM radiating light and that light collects all the needs of the individual practitioners and she who really helps all people to clear the sufferings, pains that came out of lack of wealth. Lack of wealth. And that is I am prostrating.
Now we move to the twelve. Twelve Tara is the auspicious Tara and is a very loving, pacifying, yet the golden coloured one. This one carries a vase that clears all non auspicious and gives all auspicious. And this praise for this twelve is ( Rimpoche spoke in Tibetan). To whom I am prostrating? I am prostrating to the one who has the moon on your crown. Not that full moon. Moon of the first day. Do you know how that look like? Moon of the first day etc has tremendous amount of jewel ornaments which clears all the sufferings through the light. White light radiating from the ornaments including that moon. And you are beautiful, dark hair forest, midst of that your Guru, the Amitabha Buddha. Amitabha Buddha is always there radiating light, helping all living beings. And you are the one who is radiating light of your Amitabha’s guru’s light. That is whom I am doing prostration. (1.23:52).
And next will be the thirteen one. Thirteen one is the protection one. Protection one is red in colour. This one should has slightly fangs coming out. Fins? If she is a dolphin or something? She is not dolphin. She is, what is now? Fin or fangs? Fangs, okay. Slightly. Is it there? Some of you has. You have those. What you call those? Jeff, you have binoculars. Can you see it better? You don’t see it? Oh, I can see it. Closed her mouth. But inside that, there is a little fang there. Okay? What? Big eyes, bulging eyes. Whoever, these are seems to be anything wrathful and I think the expression of this particular artist is through the eyes. When eyes keeps on bulging it is an indication that this is a wrathful one. So anyway. I don’t blame the artist, you know why? The instructions constantly, continuously, repeatedly all Taras are peaceful, wonderful, blah, blah, blah. Even the wrathful ones will say peaceful, good, wonderful yet slightly this, this, that. So the poor artist what can he do? Unless he or she has some special way of doing it. And then the traditional artists also has rules to follow exactly and that’s why when you have hundreds of the images, lineages, all of them, everyone is facing one place, everyone seating one way and no one is looking right, no one is looking at left, no one is training round and that is the tradition. They try to keep that straight and yet you have to give that all the expressions. It is a little difficult to do that. Anyway. Is it, maybe not. I don’t know. Okay, now what. So this one is thirteen, right? (1.20:23)
( Rimpoche spoke in Tibetan). So I prostrate to whom? Prostrate to you who had the burning wisdom fire. Powerful as so much power as though it looks like the fire that destroys whole universe and ate up all. So this one is especially giving teachings. Teachings. And along with this giver of joy. Why? Because gives you a path, gives you a practice, gives you guidance. Introduce you what is your ultimate goal and tells you how you can lead to. That is great joy to the disciples and followers. Along with that you also have the power to destroy all obstacles. Okay. I think the mantra for this is SHAVA BHAMI KURU SOHA. It is not that wrathful. So this is the best protection. Protection that any evils, ghosts, and all of them, any obstacles that harms you. It is the best protection. (1.18:19)
Okay, fourteen. This is again wrathful, black coloured and holding the vase that controls all evil forces. So many evil here, anyway. So the praise for this fourteenth ( Rimpoche spoke in Tibetan). One who is touching ( Rimpoche spoke in Tibetan). You are touching the earth, quite wrathful, as well as you are hitting the earth quite forcefully by your leg. You have a wrathful face, very wrathful face. At your hands, in palm of your hands and sole of your legs, you have a letter HUNG, blue. Like you remember, white Tara you have TAM. This one has HUNG. HUNG blue and from that blue HUNG radiating light, but that light is like a fire rain. Not the rain of man. Did we said something last night? Raining man or? Right? I thought you said. You refused to say? Anyway, this is a fire rain. Fire rain, along with the fire rain there are the vajras coming out. By that you are completely over powering seven. What do they call it? Fourteen. Seven what? Did Annie said something? Seven what? Oh, you said. Sorry. Seven dimensions, this one said. She subdues the seven dimensions. Now, this is a little hard to count, this seven dimensions. It is called the special base, very special base, baseless dimension, base itself, the essence, good base, pure base, under the ground base. So whatever that is, forget it. Anyway, I just counted the seven. Thanks to this book. That’s what it is. Actually another words, you know, it is a logical way of counting every existence. Every universe, every, sometimes called dimensions. And over here it is called ( Rimpoche spoke in Tibetan). Rimbo here is the layers, seven layers of existence. Some are pure, some are impure, different way of including everybody. Pure, impure, pure lands and impure this and that and baseless and all of those, probably includes, including the emptiness. The subduing. Let’s not visit that way. That is, what did I said, fourteen. Did I give you the fourteenth mantra? Fourteen one, this one is not OM TARE, this one is OM VAJRA TARE. VAJRA MAHA PADA BHEMI KURU SOHA. That is the fourteenth one (1.12:15)
Fifteen one is light, peaceful one. Beautiful, white in color. This one has vase that particularly purifies sins, negativities. So we can borrow that terminology because it suits the Tibetans. Negativities alone does not really justify the word Dipa. The word Dipa really completely identify what we call it , what Christians call it, sins. So that’s why I tried to use it. The praise for this is ( Rimpoche spoke in Tibetan). That’s exactly Dipa …To whom are you prostrating. I am prostrating to Dema Gyema, whose actions goes beyond the sufferings with the pure sound of Soha and Hum. She crushes the greatest problems. This one doesn’t, it translate identify with the word Tibetan, Dema Gyema. That’s what Dema, Gyema, Shima. So who, Gyema means one who is the giver of joy. What does that means? One who clearify, purify, pacify all the sufferings of all living beings and therefore giver of joy. And the one who also helps, constantly creates cause of joy. Therefore it is Gyema, giver of Dharma. And this one, who is also free of all afflictive emotions, so it is a pacifier. Pacifier. And one who reach the ultimate enlightenment, free of all obstacles, and remains in the joy of dharmadhatu and therefore you are called the woman who enjoys life. This is not going to be right in here. Anyway. Because of that who has said your own mantra. TARE TUTARE TURE and also adds up SOHA at the end and OM at the beginning. As a result of this you have OM TARE TUTARE TURE SOHA. (1.07:57) It is a ten syllable mantra. And by saying this ten syllable mantra, the person who says this mantra, he or her negativities such as five limitless etc, unimagineable negativities and cause of those negativities such as hatred, obsession etc, powerful affictive emotions, the result of those actions, cold, hot, uncomfortable etc all, and worry, depression etc, all you who destroy them totally. So great Mother. Great Mother. Okay , I think that should be enough. This was, another words, this was what I read it through, OM TARE TUTARE TURE SOHA, the meaning of that is the four Noble Truth. That is what I told you. So, two negative Truths and two positive Truths. Two negative Truths we have, two positive Truths, we don’t have, how to replace that, that’s it. That introduce what is our goal, what is spiritual practice means, how does it goes, how does one help by saying OM TARE TUTARE TURE SOHA. That was the question two days ago, right? When you say OM TARE TUTARE TURE SOHA, are you helping yourself or are you calling. I say both, remember ? That’s what its is. This one proves that.
Next will be the sixteen Tara. This one has a little bit more than that. Oh ya, did I talk you about the vase? A white vase, white nectar and if you are doing this, you have to think you are seating on moon cushion. Those of you who are doing it. You are seating on moon cushion. You know, seating on the moon represents you are pure. Lotus represents it is pure, moon represents it is pure. And then this mantra OM TURE SARVA PUBAM PRASHA MANAYAM YE SOHA. SARVA PUBAM means clearing all sins. In Hindi language sin is called PUB, not that you are going to drink. That’s why PUBAM , purifies all parts which means try to destroy all the company but which means destroying all sins. That’s what it is. And then it is always, whatever, whenever you do. This one also shows you by saying OM TARE TUTARE TURE SOHA, it also purifies your negativities. TARE TUTARE TURE SOHA is equally good for purification like Vajrasattva’s recitation. People are known for Vajrasattva’s for purification because Vajrasattva says this is my special job. Or TARE TUTARE TURE SOHA, that’s that. So, if there is a person who only does one practive and that is Tara practice, you are doing that, you have everything within the Tara practice. It is interesting , should be mentioned here. When Atisha, the great Indian Bengali saint scholar, the Tibetans had sacrifice , even their own ruler, in order to find, to invite Atisha. Ruler’s life in order to collect the gold, I told you first the Indian monastery said, bring the gold equal to the weight of the head of the Atisha. When they were able to do, they changed mind , that’s not enough, bring the weight of the body. So the Tibetans, the Land of the Prita. The people of the Land of the Prita went around to collect all the gold, and they went to the different kingdoms to collect the gold, and the king was arrested by the other, put into prison and they said we will release him if you give the gold equals to his body’s weight and his nephew forced to take over the kingdom and they able to function, It is a beautiful story. (1.01:36) The only uncle, the only family he had, the uncle who was the king who was arrested by another kingdom and he was forced to be the leader. Declared war because they took over the king. So the nephew refused, not because he wanted to be the king but because he did not want unnecessary people die. They called it, the Tibetans called it, the Tibetan documents, they called it Klop. Probably in Afghanistan area. Out there. Anyway, so the king was arrested and then he started negotiating. They refused completely accept without gold. He collected gold equal to the body weight of the king and gave it to that king and said now please release this king. The king, this one, the people refused. He said now we want more gold, equal to the weight of his head. Only his waist, body doesn’t weight the head, or something. So at this moment, can I able to see him? They said, alright we will allow you to look at him through the crack of door, prison door. Through the crack of prison door. They took a bit of time to find double gold, one to give to India to get this guy and one they have to give to these Afghanese to release their king, Tibetan king. So he had to do this double collection of his head. And at that time he went there and talked to him and said, we have the power to be able to declare war but I am sure, my ministers are sure that we can completely overpower them within limited time. However in order to do something positive to benefit people, killing people, I thought it is not right. So, I rejected the proposals of the ministers. I have been able to collect the gold weight equal to your body. Again he wanted more gold, equal to your head and we get that very soon. So please keep yourself well until then. The king inside said, I thought you are a little rotten guy. However the way you talked makes me very happy. Don’t waste gold for this guy. Let me die. Doesn’t matter. What will he do with my dead body. Even if you get me out, I will have one or two more years to live. It will waste such a gold for that and Buddha won’t like it. So he said, won’t like it and so let me die. He said he couldn’t speak a word and actually he has to leave. So he followed exactly. That’s why in order to bring Atisha into Tibet, they have to sacrifice the life of the ruler. Not because Atisha is so handsome, nor Atisha was a blue eye boy. But Atisha carries a tremendous, a wonderful , easy to practice, perfect path leading to enlightenment. And that later known as Lamrim and now we called it Odyssey to Freedom. So Odyssey to Freedom, freedom is not me. Not by me. But it is by Tsongkapa, by Atisha, by Buddha. So this is the way it begin. So what happens now? I wonder whether Tara with this practice.
It is number 15 or 16? Yes, shima is pacify. I think we finished that, didn’t we? Okay. Where did I get Atisha’s story from? That’s right. Thank you. So, Atisha was in Tibet. Somebody asked Atisha. You have lots of stories to tell in India. This one achieved this and that one achieves this and this one achieves that. We have nothing in Tibet. How come? That was the questioned asked to Atisha. Now today we have same question. Same thing. You have lots of stories to tell in Tibet. This guy obtained this, that guy obtained that. Do you have any stories to tell any Caucasian or any African American who has achieve this one and that one. That is the question we ask today, right? You know what Atisha said in reply. Atisha did not say you are going to get it. Did not say that. He said in India , we have one person will take one yidam. And we practiced and achieve. You Tibetans. One person takes hundreds of yidams, so you get nowhere. That was Atisha’s reply. And the reason why I said, if you have only one person who practises Tara alone, you have everything within Tara. OM TARE TUTARE TURE SOHA has actually both sutra, tantra, lamrim, all of them in there. It is only matter that one needs to find key to unlock those. The keys are, the key is the teachings. Number one I am telling you, you can unlock, it is there. Number two, the questions that you have to raise within your head and started looking it. Number three, when you look at the key, you got to find key is nothing more than sutra, tantra, lamrim. Sutra, tantra and lamrim and you bring them in and then you have to merge them within OM TARE TUTARE TURE SOHA which is not at all difficult because it is the Four Noble Truth. It is extremely easy to handle. And in between that if you need any other wrathful, peaceful , superiority, power and anything else, multiple activity, including total enlightenment, is capable to be delivered by this OM TARE TUTARE TURE SOHA. That’s why I wanted to tell you, not only that. It also able to clear, pacify, all wars, bad dreams, and so on and so forth. Illness and evil obstacles, even rising dead body. This is somethingfunny. Zombies. Call it zombie obstacles. We don’t have it these days. There is no zombie rise around now. Traditionally they do. They do, sometimes. Sometimes it is very harmful, if you look early Indian historical point of view. Sometimes the total village becomes zombies. Because the zombie is a problem if one touches the other. The other becomes zombie. So, you have a village full of zombies. That becomes big problem. So that’s why this one. You know what? If you have a zombie what you have to do? You have to break the back of the foot, this one. What do you call it. This one. What did you say? Tendons? Okay. Alright. You know why? This is the combination of bone, nerves and the tendons. There is one more. What is it? Anyway, six of them. And when you break that, the zombies will have to depend on one of them at least to function well. (0.48: 56) That’s why when you break, zombie cannot occupy. Zombie is actually a spirit that overpowers the individual. Like something take over and that influences everybody else. Other zombies gets in, so. You give this much they will take that much. That’s what happens. So you break it. It is old time story. Why don’t we have coffee instead of that.
So now, did we do the sixteen yet? We reached to the sixteen. Okay. Sixteen is the giver of wisdom. Her name is Rigpa Wole Dorma. Her name Rigpa Wole Dorma. Rigpa the same thing as I told you the other day. We talked to you the Dharmadhartu and Rigpa, both meaning. So that rigpa is that. Actually the idea is, the request , the word rigpa comes out of ? The word comes out from the essence of Dzonzeng and all that type of thing anyway. Whatever maybe the rigpa refers, the other day, remember when we were talking about Tara. ( Rimpoche spoke in Tibetan). Yin refeingrr to purifying the nature impurities and the rigpa purifying the temporary which again both bottom line to wisdom anyway. So this particular known as rigpa. It is red in color and everything the same thing, and the base, the purpose of this particular base is to increase mantra power. And praise for this is ( Rimpoche spoke in Tibetan) There is one dot in here. Actual cant read it. (Rimpoche spoke in Tibetan) To whom you prostrate? Prostrate to Tara, happy to be giving dharma teachings. Happy to bring the joy within the followers and the disciples and the specialized to over power outer, inner evils of the followers. And you have the mantra OM TARE TUTARE TURE SOHA. Now, if you wanted to be a little wrathful TAM change it to HUM. If you wanted to be peaceful HUM change to TAM. That is how Tara works. You know the interesting here, this tradition will not tell you straight. You learn here and there. So the reason why TAM change to HUM, the exchange is pacifying or slightly wrathful. TAM marked by HUM and HUM marked by TAM and so on. Try to catch both bird and fish together. This also has OM TARE TUTARE TURE SOHA. TARE TUTARE TURE SOHA is the general thing. This particular NAMO TARE HO HA , that is also there. And visualization is as from the letter, radiating tremendous amount of duplicate Dorlma and clear all obstacles. And now we are moving to. Ya, this one additional thing. It also brings the power of all the mantras. Wisdom of Indra, Brahma etc. Buddhas and Bodhisattvas knowledge, kindness, compassion, all of them in the form of light. (0.42:54) Dissolves to yourself. You becomes dharma, wisdom, anything to be known becomes great wisdom, yourself. Third mantra, that is SARVA DHARMA PRATI PARISHODHAYA SVAHA. So whatever.
So that’s the sixteen Tara and the seventeen is overpowering evils and obstacles. And this one is Tara who can shake all three realms of existence. She has the colour of saffron colour. Saffron colour and slightly, very peaceful, yet slightly wrathful, one face, two hands and the right hand holding a vase which overpowers, subdues the black magic, black any of that type of people doing those harmful activities. Over powering them and the vase is (Rimpoche spoke in Tibetan). Whom you are prostrating? Prostrating to TURE who is swift one, whose two feet are wrathfully bouncing and charging like a buffalo charge. Charging. That’s why she is ready to jump, charging. Quick one. (Rimpoche spoke in Tibetan) The second line needs explanation. The second line should say. This doesn’t goes according to line. Homage to TURE , she with stamping feet. Essence of seed letter HUM meaning this Tara is born out of the letter HUM. Another words when you are generating this Tara you are generating HUM. Seed syllable HUM and that becomes Tara. That’s why essence of the seed letter HUM. She causes Meru, Madhara, Vindhya and the whole three worlds to break. And why she is charging, her feet is charging. She tries to shake the Mount Meru and other mountains around. And in short, on the ground, up in the sky, under the ground. Hell, heaven and earth. Shaking them. So not only the environment, even the inhabitants, if she wants to shake. Such a power lady. You bow, not only I respect your quality.
Now eighteen. Eighteen one will be. This one particularly to overpower the naga poisons. Naga poisons are mostly, in traditionally mostly skin problems are categorized as naga poisons in traditional way. Of course if I say that today is not even, I have to be crazy, right? So that’s why the skin problems are normally put in the category of naga poisons. And again white in colour like a moon. Peaceful. And this particular vase she is carrying is poison clearing nectar. And rest almost the same except the mantra is OM ? That’s what it is. And praise for this is (Rimpoche spoke in Tibetan), To whom you are prostrating? They said the lake of goddess or something. So lake of goddess is referring to, it is the pure mind. Pure mind is like that of a lake. Wonderful. White, milk like lake. Round like a moon mandala. And one who holds the, (Rimpoche spoke in Tibetan). It says one who holds in her hand is moon resembling. Moon resembling, what is it? Celestial lake? Sounds like she is holding a lake. I don’t think so. This one says (Rimpoche spoke in Tibetan), in Tibetan. Someone who is holding the animal sign. Animal sign. Now listen to me. Animal here is not every animal. It is those of us who are rabbits. 1939 and 51. Those type of, that rabbit. (0.34:16) You know why rabbit? It is the synonymous to the moon is Tibetan. If you look at the moon there is something funny. Some sort of body look like, some people describe that as a rabbit. So that’s how the Tibetan language works. Animal sign holder. Animal sign, animal is the rabbit. Rabbit is the moon. Moon represents lake. So this guy translated as lake holding person. I am glad I look it here at least. Because I was wondering whether person is going to get it. Holding a (Rimpoche spoke in Tibetan). You also says Tara twice saying. Tara twice saying means five five groups of letters which means ten syllables which means OM TARE TUTARE TURE SOHA. And you who also clears all poisons. From what? From this mantra. From this mantra OM TARE TUTARE TURE SOHA. Sometimes you add up PHAT on top, which means afterwards. So because of that, because of that you clear all , what are you clearing now? Poisons that kill. All the poisons. So one who clears all the poisons. Anyway. We are talking about external poisons but also internal poisons as well. When it is internal then it is a struggle.
Okay, then the next is nineteen. The nineteen Tara will be who clears the disputes. You know when you have a fight. They put the courts out of job. A lot of lawyers would not like it. If she becomes active, the lawyers won’t like it. (0.31:06) Not only the disputes, but also the bad dreams. And the name she carries is suffering clear. Disputes can gives you suffering throughout, long time. She is white like a snow mountain, one face, two hands and holding a suffering clearing vase. Dress is almost the same (Rimpoche spoke in Tibetan). Whom are you prostrating to? I am prostrating to the ruler of all powerful samsaric gods such as Indra, Brahma and ordinary gods and Minty. Somebody asked last night who is the scent eater. It is known as Minty. The drawings of the Minty are. They draw, I don’t know how they look like but traditional drawings are physical human body with horse head. The king of Minty was suppose to be the last person that Buddha be able to give teachings, his last teachings. Last disciple that Buddha has accepted is king of Minty. If you write the name , he has guitar is his hands and horse head and guitar and blue body. Blue coloured body. That’s what the scent eater you asked last night, I am just said in the category of hungry ghosts and all these. Sometimes I said category of demigods. These names are in the demi gods category. So that’s what it is. Minty Ema, she is the ruler of all these gods and Mintys. (Rimpoche spoke in Tibetan). By saying your mantra, meditating your body, meditating on your body and saying your mantras makes, brings joy to people and by your majestic power, reduce, subdues, pacifies and terminates disputes, bad dreams etc. So that lady, I bow to you. And no more additional meditation except when you are really praying to her, looking at her, saying her mantras, you may focus on very specific disputes that you are engaging on, very specific bad dreams that you would like to clear. If you want to clear your bad dreams it is important not to share the dream to anyone for before you do it. After you do, your practice each one of your practice you do have methods of doing it and in your teachings will tell you this one is through this particular line where you get to and thinks of, imagine, visualize your dream and that deity Padmo means female deity clearing this particular thing. (0.25:49) and is all pacify, disputes, and people who are disputing also enjoys the love and compassion and all bad omens are changed, transformed to auspicious omens. The mantra here OM TARE TUTTARE TURE MOCABA SVAHA. This particularly if you want to help someone to reduce sentence in jail time. It is recommended to practice and do. Anyone, particularly you wanted to help the person you may be able to visualize the person first in front of you, in between you and you are generating, put that individual person on moon cushion and having the purifying nectar coming through Tara. That visualization with OM TARE TUTARE TURE SOHA will do, and not necessary OM ? and that helps.
Okay, now go to the twentieth Tara. Not doing that bad. I was a little worried yesterday was stuck and stuck. Locho Rimpoche definitely right. ( Rimpoche spoke in Tibetan), he always says. Guyasamaja deity, whether you stuck your leg, that’s what you can do. So anyway, it is twentieth, right? Twentieth is clearing those epidemic illness. Anyone of those epidemic illness. And it is orange colour. I am trying to find a chronological to go in there. Finding a chronological, three, four days, screaming in my house. So, it is orange in colour, one face, two hands. This particular vase is clearing epidemic illness. And praise is ( Rimpoche spoke in Tibetan). Twentieth one. To whom you offer the prostration. I offering the prostration. Prostrating to wrathful deity looks like fully shining sun or fully developed moon looks like peaceful eye. And from you, I hope it is not virgin eye. Sweet one, cute one. I don’t know how cute looks. And from both eyes, fully effected light generated who says the wrathful mantra HARA. Or instead of TARE she said HARE. TARE TUTARE, HARE HOREY. HARE HOREY in Tibetan means happy go lucky. Common language. I mean common with the Sanskrit means that. So she is peaceful, loving, very loving. Patient yet very wrathful against diseases, epidermic diseases. Particularly SOHA mantra, OM TARE TUTARE TURE says that. And with this mantra ones hears, the radiating light and a lot of Tara generated out, peaceful, wrathful Tara. All of the generating uncontaminated nectar and it clears all disease completely and if it is created through some evil spirit, that nectar satisfy the evil one and pacify dharma teachings, make even that evil one give up hatred etc and in case if there is someone not satisfied, not cooperating, the wrathful deities will drive them away. Specific mantra in here is OM TURE VISARATA SVAHA.
Now we go the last one, twenty first Tara. Tara of all activities. All who completing all activities. White ion colour, peaceful, one face, two hands. This twenty first is white. White painted black? Remember the first one we had green painted yellow. Now we have white painted black. Don’t tell me these guys try to please Bush administration. That’s joking. Not you. The painter. Probably came 200 years before Bush administration. Anyway, so, white in colour, one face, two hands and half vase is vase that gives all siddhihoods. All complete. Clear here is ( Rimpoche spoke in Tibetan) To whom are you prostrating? I am prostrating the wonderful lady, yogini who had essence, body of all enlightened beings as a letter OM on the crown. Essence of speech of all enlightened beings in the from of letter AH at the throat, essence of all enlightened beings in the form of letter HUM at the heart level. So that’s why ( Rimpoche spoke in Tibetan). So it should probably said, she whose body, speech and mind are perfect. The word in Tibetan is ( Rimpoche spoke in Tibetan) means three suchness , the body , mind and speech. And then the second word ( Rimpoche spoke in Tibetan) which is perfect being of strength. ( Rimpoche spoke in Tibetan) who crushes the devils, zombies and ghosts. ( Rimpoche spoke in Tibetan). So, such a great Tara. Did I explained everything here now? During this mantra you can do all activities. This specific mantra, this one is TURE SIDDHI SADHANAM SVAHA. OM TURE SADHANAM SVAHA. So activities, multiple activities that is pacified. Prosperity, power, wrathful and all these in the white Tara practice, we shared that with you. The white nectar pacifying all undesirable, all unwanted things. Yellow light generating all prosperity things, red light generating all power, and blue, dark blue or navy blue colour generating wrathfulness, whatever illnesses so that you don’t become door mat for everybody. And then you have green colour for multiple activities. And for white Tara especially, you have this rustic colour. Colouring protecting but I think that is specific especially for white Tara. And Tara in general all are specially very kind, mother like, compassionate. Care, so much caring. It is caring makes a big difference. (11:29) It is not that other enlightened beings doesn’t care but it is different, you know, the mother who cares the child and the mother who cares the child and the grand aunt who cares the child, is slightly different. I don’t want to use the usual example which are you know what I am using anyway. So it is clearly indication. She acts immediately no matter what circumstances might be. So that’s why even the leader of all realms which is Avalokitesvara. The Buddhists point of view because Avalokitesvara, is the Buddha of love, compassion, cares about tremendously , cares about those samsaric realms. Even Avalokitesvara praised Tara quick and quick, swift. Quick destroyer, great one, all these. And Tara generates tremendous amount of manifestation throughout everywhere. Since now you know at enlightened level, body, mind and speech functions one and mind is total knowledge, therefore it is everywhere. Even though, it doesn’t depends on manifestation, it is everywhere. However to satisfy our rational mind, there are millions, zillions of manifestations throughout everywhere. Each and everyone of them doing their own work, serving everywhere. And through teachings, through radiating light, through prayers, through everything, everything that can help. So by saying this mantra, it clears up our obstacles temporarily and not only it clears our obstacles temporarily, it gives you total enlightenment. This is capable practice. And it is very simple, yet very easy to do it, and it is far reaching. I should give you a little bit of this because this translation ends here or even this particular first Panchen Lama’s who also ends there and in Tara’s retreat when you go down this, then it says ( Rimpoche spoke in Tibetan). One who has great respect and admiration to this Padmo, the female goddess. And with pure thoughts, ( Rimpoche spoke in Tibetan) the intelligent person who picks this up, who says this mantra, and there are two or three types of this mantra and praise, not only this praise. This is 21 praise. This is very very good, Wonderful one. ( Rimpoche spoke in Tibetan). Early in the morning, before dawn and late in the evening before midnight. Not midnight, just after dark, if you said this, ( Rimpoche spoke in Tibetan). If you seat up and said this, it helps you, protects you from all fears. ( Rimpoche spoke in Tibetan). It purifies all your sins .( Rimpoche spoke in Tibetan). It all destroys karma that takes rebirth in ? ( Rimpoche spoke in Tibetan). There is seven hundred million Buddhas will give you the initiation, whatever ( Rimpoche spoke in Tibetan) . Even you don’t achieve in your lifetime, after you die, you will obtain total enlightenment. (0.05:56)
( Rimpoche spoke in Tibetan). Now in short, this will also completes six paramittas activities. It also clears all obstacles, evil and so on and so forth , that you have seen 21 Taras, each one of them may have different activities as you see. ( Rimpoche spoke in Tibetan) And also the influence of the poisons or illness will be purified. ( Rimpoche spoke in Tibetan) So it says if you say it twice, three times and seven times. If you say it twice, three times and seven times, ( Rimpoche spoke in Tibetan) those who wanted have children, get children. Those who wanted wealth, they get wealth.
( Rimpoche spoke in Tibetan) Whatever you desire, it will be fulfilled. ( Rimpoche spoke in Tibetan) It will purify every thing and it will help you. ( Rimpoche spoke in Tibetan) That is slightly different, Two, three, seven. Two three seven doesn’t mean you have twice, you have three times. It does means but not like that. Out of this two, three, seven means and then you have activity of mandala offering, Tara mandala offering. Four mandala offering, Tara practice. That comes. Four mandala offering Tara practice is. I thought I share that with you but the clock is telling me twelve. You have to deal with unions here. I better stop. Really. True because the union rule is such. Not on time, this and that. Has to. There is no choice. I am not try to be anti union. Unions are great but sometimes their rules are too much. These are real rules, so. I have good news. Even there are union rules, sometimes they do bend backwards. And our host here is willing to bend and that’s on Saturday. So they are going to give us break for half an hour. That gives us opportunity to start by 8.20, 8.30 and then we continue Tara blessings till whatever long it takes. 11, 11.30, 12. That will be Saturday morning, Saturday morning there will be no early session. You can sleep little late and have breakfast and we have the extended version of Tara blessings.
